Welcome Letter

Dear Parents,

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Jill Huntsman and I will be your child’s second grade teacher this year. I graduated from Brigham Young University with a B.S. in Elementary Education.  This is my 19th year teaching and my seventh year teaching second grade. I have taught  Reading Recovery, kindergarten, first, second, third and Gifted/Talented k-4.  I have also served as a Reading Specialist and After School Coordinator. 

Below is a list of a few reminders.

**Please print your child’s name in EVERYTHING; sweaters, coats, boots, gloves, hats, backpacks, lunch boxes, etc…

**Please send your child to school with a backpack everyday. He/she will be bringing home many important notes, as well as homework everyday.

Please feel free to contact me anytime with any questions or concerns. Please see the ”Contact Information” page for ways to contact me. I do check my school e-mail several times during the day. 

I am looking forward to working with you and your child this year. Second grade is an awesome year, and I am sure that your child will enjoy it!!!
